Change is the nature of “NATURE” and because human started its life with nature so it also adopted changing. Cricket is an obvious game of human so it also requires changing, so some IPL team changed their captains. The difference was that some of them made it a issue of prestige and the matter got useless publicity. But it totally changed the destiny of that team who did it very silently. DECCAN CHARGERS are the best example of this current scenario. They changed their captain, their uniform and before that they changed their game level, game plan, mental toughness and all of these worked combined to give him three victories in a row for team who was among last in previous year IPL tournament.
Supports expected a run feast match today as the both team have very famous opening pair in the form of GILLY & GIBBS in opposition of SACHIN & SANATH, so they waited patiently. Match started with toss and it went in favor of DECAAN’S and GILLY decided to bat first. He and GIBBS gave a dream start with scoring 63 run in 6.4 over. After GILLY, GIBBS and DYWANE SMITH started blasting they scored to 124 in just 12 over. SANATH got wicket of SMITH. Once it is looking that they may reach 200 very comfortably but 2 quick wickets and a run out taken by BRAVO restrict them to 168/9. In reply MUMBAINS started play safely to save wicket but the excellent bowling from R.P.SINGH and EDWARD bounded JAISURAYA to commit mistake and got out to make score 4/1. But TENDULAKAR started attacking with JP DUMINY to make it 84/1 in 10 over. But again the break interrupted the concentration of batsman and SACHIN got out on 35. After taking wicket of SACHIN , PRAYGAN OJHA never looks back and he took another two quickly to push MUMBAI on back foot from where they never succeed to return an finally DECCAN CHARGERS registered their third consecutive win by 12 runs.

SECOND MATCH BETWEEN KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS AND CHENNAI SUPER KING WAS ABANDONED DUE TO RAIN.

Wining the toss and electing bat not worked again as PATHAN got wicket of UTHAPPA on his first ball of the over and put them in trouble. But RYDER and KALLIS played carefully to make a partnership before RYDER was bold by new comer YUSUF ABDULLA. He made32 in21 balls with 6 fours. After this CHALLNEGERS got the real blow when ABDULLA sent PIETERSON to pavilion on duck. DARVID also couldn’t did well and made only 10 runs. The score was 73/4 in 10 overs and KALIIS was holding one end. ROSS TAYLOR given him support in and the pair added 60 runs before KALLIS got out by ABDULLAH. He made entertaining 64 in 42 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. And falling of wicket in regular intervals starts no batsman other than TAYLOR made a good score. He made 35 in 22 with 4 four and 2 six. The final score was 168/9. IRFAN PATHAN AND YUSUF ABDUALLA shared seven wickets.

Although it was a good score to win a match but it can’t be enough regarding that the KING PUNJAB is hungry to taste a win and he will do all possible things to make entry in point tables. This also reflected from their batting as their opener pair added a solid 52 in 6 over before KARAN GOEL got out run out. But this partnership provided BOPARA a lot of confidence and he never looked back. He added another 40 runs with SANGKARA and 66 runs with YUVRAJ. He made 84 in 59 balls with 5 sixes and 4 fours and ensures that his team is going to win . SANGKARA made 26 form 18. YUVI remains unbeaten 30 from 17 with 3 fours and a match finishing six. KINGS PUNJAB never lost their nerve during the whole chases and they kept wicket and tried to maintain the run rate which finally provided a victory. In the middle of run chase CHALLENGERS bowled some good overs but it couldn’t produced any wicket and finally they lost the match.

When ROYAL CHALLENGERS won the first match then people thought that the changing captaincy had worked and may be they are going to show some better cricket. It happened but the other teams also uplifted their game quality and finally the margin is the same. The main problem of ROYAL CHALLENGERS is that their batting and bowling never clicks at the same time. it is now worry for PIETERSEN to combine his team and perform better to make comeback in the tournament.

Second Match was between KOLKATA NIGHTRIDERS and RAJASTHAN ROYALS and important for both team as KKR registered only win in a rain affected match and RR had yet to register a win. KOLAKTA own the toss and decided to field first. IT was absolutely right decision as RAJASTHAN lost two wickets quickly at the score of 8 and 14. After that YUSUF PATHAN and SMITH started playing safely and attacking also and made scorecard to reach at 70 in 8 over. But then “MYATERIUOS” MENDIS came to ball and shown his magic by taking wicket of both these batsman. SMITH added only 15 but PATHAN added blasting 42 in 21 with 6 fours and 2 sixes and looking to demolish MENDIS magic. He failed at that time but he got the chance later in the same match. I will explain it later that how he got the chance. After loosing again 2 wickets in quick fashion RR was in trouble and it slowed its run rate as RAVINDAR JADEJA and MASCARENHAS played in singles and doubles and contributed 22 and 27 respectively in nearly same no of balls. It was ABHISHEK RAUT who blasted in the last over and hit 2 sixes and a four and pushed score to reach 150 mark with 6 wickets.

Spectators were expecting a blast by GAYLE and McCULAM but the WARN had a different plan and bowl was given to YUSUF PATHAN to bowl the first over sp that they can’t get the expected pace to hit. at other end blowing attack was shared by MASCARENHAS to proved a slow pace. This formula worked as KOLAKAT manages to score just 25 run in 4 over and lost wicket of McCULLAM who scored only 3. But GAYLE was blasting and hit 4 sixes and 2 four before got caught on score of 41. The score was 60/2 in 8 overs . WARN started pressuring opposition with his quick bowling changes and its produces wicket on a regular interval and KKR’S were struggling after loosing 5 wicket on 94. DADA was not out yet and he and YASHPAL SINGH shown temperament to fight . It was DADA who changes the way of match twice. He hit 2 sixes consecutively on a no ball and free hit ball and KOLKATANS made a return in the match. But match is yet to finish and it turned again when YAHPAL SINGH got out playing a extra enthusiastic short instead of advice form DADA not to do so. This frustrated DADA he got nervousness . last over he they needed only 7 runs and first ball was wide. But the youngster of RAJASTHAN KAMRAN KAHN hold his nerve on this situation and taken wicket of DADA when they needed only 2 runs in 2 balls. Last ball produces only one run and it was first tie in IPL history and decision was to given after super over.

super over:- KAMRAN KHAN bowled this over for RR and GAYLE hit 3 fours in a row after taking 2 singles in first 2 balls . last ball produces wicket of GAYLE and score was 15 run .

KKR chosen cleverly MENDIS to restrict opposition with his magic but the batsman was YUSUF PATHAN(here he got the other chance). He started well with hitting a six and then a double. On the next two ball he hit 6 and 4 to ensure victory.

Now as the season starts warming in INDIA, IPL also feeling the effect. The matches becomes more tough to win, predication of the its winner is something that fools do, it swings like a sea-saw in favor of the contesting teams and the result can be changed or decided with a single delivery. So every team have to fight from very beginning to last ball of the match.
These things are written here because these are exactly happened in the both two games played today and the situation was like do-or-die for the contestants.
First match was between DELHI DRAEDEVILS and CHENAAI SUPER KINGS. Everyone expected a superb contest because the both team have a troop of blasting batsman like SEHWAG,GAUTAM, DE VILLIER and
HAYDEN , DHONI, FLINTOFF and it also happened what was expected but in a different fashion. DELHI won the toss and as obvious elected to bat first. But the decision gone in vain when BALAJI and GONI took wicket of GAUTI and SEHWAG in their first over. Even GAUTI gone on the first ball of the match with a duck and SEHWAG gone on the last ball of the second over contributing only 6 to the score which was 8/2 in the end of the 2nd over. But this blow doesn’t affect the DAREDEVILS to show ”DARE”. After these tow front was leaded by DE VILLIER and DILSHAN .It was DILSHAN who shown that the attack is the best defense and followed by DE VILLIER. He started smashing and hit sixes and fours all over ground and made a brilliant half-century in jus t 27 balls with 7 fours and 2 sixes. The partnership of 68 runs in 6.3 Overs was going fine before DILSHAN given out on a ball of MORKEL . KARTIK came next but at that time DE VILLIER had spent enough time to start blast and once he started his finished unbeaten with 105 in 54 balls and hit 6 sixes and 5 fours in his innings. None among the bowlers was able to stop him. FLINTOFF tried his best but he became most expensive bowler of the match with a figure of 50/0 in 4 overs. KARTIK added useful 18. Once it seemed that score may touch 200 mark but finally it ended at 189/5.
SUPERKINGS were in mood of reply and they also started well . Both opener started blasting from both ends and made score 57 inn just 5 overs . HAYDEN was more aggressive and it seems that a lot of cricket has yet come from him. But a newcomer bowler SANGWAN who was also the hero of U-19 WORLD CUP FINALS gave breakthrough to DELHI and PARTHIV PATEL departed with contributing 16. He again stroke with taking wicket of HAYDEN on score of 57 who was playing a hurricane innings with 5 fours and 3 sixes in 27 deliveries. The score was 90/2 at the end 0f 8 over. Then DHONI and RAINA tried to make a partnership but failed as VETTORI used his experience and taken wicket of DHONI who gone with contributing just 5. Then FLINTOFF came and tried to tickle scoreboard with RAINA and made score to reach 139 before SANGWAN stroked again with wicket of RAINA. He contributed 41 and was looking to score till end . It was the turning of the match as upcoming batsman felt pressure and got out easily in a regular interval. FLINTOFF added just 16 and became victim of NEHRA. GONI hit a six and made match more mysterious but he also can’t handle the pressure and run out in next ball. Next to batsman also returned by getting run out. MORKEL tried his best but CHENNAI lagged by few runs .The scoreboard ended at 180/9.

Why IPL is so popular in just one year? Why we should watch the second version? These two questions are well answered by the way match progressed between BANGALORE ROYAL CHALLENGERS and DECCAN CHARGERS today. Some fans of this t20 league were in mood to take rest and leave this match because the two teams playing today were the last two teams in the rank table of IPL-1. But the performance shown by both team never reflect that they have any effect of that fact. And you may surprise but this was the most interesting IPL match of 2009.
Toss result was in favour of DECCAN CHARGERS and GILLY decided to bat first. GILLY was keen to prove his decision right and he did it by hitting 3 fours in a row in the first over and 2 four and a six in the next over. GIBBS also supported him and made 13 by including a four and a six in seven delivery. The score was 46 run in just 3.4 over but then PRAVEEN KUMAR strikes and GIBBS had to return back. Soon LAXMAN also departed by but this doesn’t made any effect on GILLY’S batting and he continued his blasting innings. Then ROHIT SHARMA came to bat and he supported his captain well and both started smashing blower’s bowl and mind form both end of the track. They added 60 runs in just 6 overs . They are showing that type of cricket which is famous in IPL . you can imagine the situation by knowing that GILLY made 71 runs in just 44 delivery with 6 fours and 5 sixes and ROHIT made 50 runs in 30 balls with 5 sixes and a single four. There was nothing left to do for the rest batsman .T he final score was 184/6.
In reply it was really a bad start for ROYAL CHALLENGERS with loosing the wicket of t20 specialist batsman RYDER on the first delivery of innings while chasing such a huge target. He was clean bold by EDWARD. R P singh gave another blow to opposition on score 19 by taking wicket of veteran KALLIS.he added just 15. ROBIN UTHAPPA also couldn’t able to convert his start in big score and got out by STYRIS after making 12. PIETERSON again disappointed MALYA (owner of the team) and couldn’t able to understand spin of OJHA and tried to hit it by coming out of crease and the rest was done by GILLY . he stumped on 11. The score was 62/4 but the entertainment is yet to shown by the CHALLENGERS. THE “WALL OF INDIAN CRICKET” DRAVID and U-19 WORLD CUP CHAMPION’S CAPTAIN KHOLI were in the center. They started batting confidently and hitted fours and sixes and tried to chase the growing run rate for win. RAHUL hitted 5 fours and 2 sixes in his 48 run innings and partnership for 57 runs in 5 overs. It was STYRIS again who taken a crucial wicket and ended the hope generated by these two. KOHLI tried to fight with his half century knock including 7 fours but it was too late to win. The score of CHALLENGERS ended at 160/8 and they managed to reduce the defeat gap.

It was a mix day of enjoyment and disappointment . the blasting batting performance by the batsman of both side gave some enjoyment while in other hand rain interrupted again and the viewers again had a reduced enjoyment and it disappoint them. Punjab and Kolkata, both lost their first match and here came to prove himself in the second version and both keen to register a win here. but the first and the last punch was given by Kolkata. McULLUM won the toss and decided to field first and ISHANT made his decision right by taking the first wicket early on and sent KARAN GOEL duck. At that time score of Punjab was 9. but the real shock was given by the much discussed "Bengal Tiger" in the seventh over when he dismissed PATHAN and BOPARA in second and fourth ball of that over. PATHAN contributed 32 of just 17 delivery and BOPARA was at 15 of 15 delivery. SANGKARA and YUVRAJ tried to make a partnership with a speeding scoreboard .They succeed to add 56 runs when SANGKARA got run out by McULLUM . yuvraj also departured soon . He made blasting 38 in 28 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes. After sangkara aonther srilankan player jaywardhne speeds the scoreboard and made a handful 31 in 19 dselivery.the final score of pujab was 158/6.
The reply of Kolkatan's was in a superb fashion. they were in a mood of blast and it was started by GAYLE who just blown the opposition attack and made unbeaten 44 in 26 delivery with 2 fours and 4 sixes. he and HODGE are in finishing mode and the score was 79/1 in just 9 overs when rain interrupted and poured some water on GAYLE'S anger. after some patience umpires announced winner of match and it was obvious the team of SRK'S (by D/L method).

After a busy schedule of two days , IPL given some rest to the
its viewers by organizing only one match today. The sizzling rain before match creates a suspicion among the viewers that it may be going to affect the enjoyment but the rain stopped and they get relief. After winning the toss DHONI elected to bat first and the two opener ,especially HAYDEN converts it in a right decision by making a blasting half century. Both openers were on fire and made 106 runs together in just ten overs. Before captain himself,of royal challengers provide twice

breakthrough in his very first over, it seems that the chennai

super kings are going to make a score more than 200.
After that RAINA , DHONI and FLINTOFF also made a

handful contribution to score to make it finally 179/5. The

most successful & economical bowler was the KEVIN

PIETERSEN with 1/14 in 3 overs.

In reply the start of ROYAL CHALLENGERS was not good

and they lost wicket of PRAVEEN KUMAR in very first over

when GONY bold him with a beautiful yorker. A partnership

was building after that early dismissal but it cannot go

beyond 40
runs when KALLIS given out lbw on delivery of his own

countrymen bowler MORKEL. After that every batsman

shown eagerness to return pavilion and wickets were falling

like cards. only DRAVID and KOHLI put some resistance

by putting 16 runs together. DRAVID was the last man to got
out and the challengers shown again performance like they

were playing in the IPL-I.

It seems that the captaincy controversy made an effect on the performance of the
team which was the first t-20 match winner of IPL history. The famous team of SRK'S didn't showed any temperament against the R.P.SINGH'S swing blowling and never came out of pressure after loosing early wickets.

On the other hand it was a better day on field for poor performer of DECCAN CHARGERS and they shown that the changing captain theory had worked for that and they manage to win their first match in the second version. Although target
was not enough but they batted nicely and ensures a win. GIBBS is in great form since the last two one day against Australia and he continued that with unbeaten knock of 43 in just 26 balls.

Although DRAVID "THE WALL" also shown its character in the T-20 match when he not only hold the one end but also made runs quickly according to format. in t-20 score of 133 never considerd as a wining total but magic had yet to come and finally displayed by a reteired cricketer proving that he had yet a lot of cricket left in him.

so, the first day of IPL belonged to all veteran cricketer like sachin , dravid and kumble.
now we have to watch that if other veteran and non-playing members of India can show the same magic for their teams and give a tough competition to the other so that a healthy environment of cricket can develop in the country.
